How Do You Stay Warm In Sub-Zero Temps? Run.
It really looks worse than it was. I was trying to get a smile in there but I think things were a little too frozen. Ha. Despite how cold things were with the wind chill, it was really a comfortable run. I even got finished with a pretty great average pace. While I listened to the worship music playing I spent time thinking about and praying for our Sierra Leone team. I’m excited to see God’s plans unfold. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun
Relegating To The Treadmill
With my wife out of town I can’t be leaving the kids home alone, this means the treadmill it is. I think this is the first time I’ve been on the treadmill probably in the last 8-10 months. I literally can’t remember the last time I had to use it. For times like these I’m glad we have it or there would be no running. Since the treadmill required significantly less thought, except for changing the speed during the short interval run segment, it gave me ample time to think about the Sierra Leone team and trip. I continue to pray for our team’s planning and the journey to come. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun

Enabling A Community With Clean Water
When clean water is brought to a community it’s not done suddenly and randomly then moving on to another random village. World Hope(#WHI) works with a carefully chosen village to establish ownership of the well by that village. The village agrees to manage and care for the well in order to serve their community for the long term. The are taught how to maintain and repair the well, and are tasked with protecting it as well. This model follows the saying, “Give a man a fish, feed him today. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime.”. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon Donate to Clean Water: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr
Making The Best Of A Rainy Weekend Camping At Jellystone, Fremont-IN
After a rocky start to the weekend on Friday we did our best to make the most of a rainy weekend at the Jellystone Campground in Fremont Indiana. We started off Saturday morning with our big breakfast meal. After breakfast, and a little fishing, we took in a train ride around the campground. After our lunch we did some more fishing, of course. Both the kids enjoyed fishing, especially when they kept getting bites. The nice part is that the pond was catch and release, and the kids really didn’t care how big the fish were. On Sunday the rain had mostly cleared out so we took in a lot more activities, including a wagon ride where the kids got to see some of the…
