Knocking Out Another Couple Miles, Sporting A New Headlamp

Who’s going to help me bring clean water to another 132 people? $825 to go to reach my goal, with matching will hit another 132 people blessed with clean water. https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr

Careful planning goes into the process of putting in a well, it’s not random and or without care. The teams from World Hope that drill the new wells are skilled at what they do. They carefully choose a location and methodically carry out the execution of drilling a well. The result is reliable well to serve the community.

It was a nice cool morning for a quick run. I gave my new headlamp a short test run. What a difference going from a 160 lumens headlamp to a 12000 lumens headlamp. It felt like I was running in daylight.

    Running…My Physical And Spiritual Race

No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. – Philippians 3:13‭-‬14 NLT As I’ve entered into day 3 of my 5K training, more like day 2 but I’m sticking with the schedule, this verse reminds me that there is more beyond just the physical race that I’m preparing for. It’s easy for us to lose sight of how God is working in our lives, especially with how crazy our world is getting. I’m thankful for these reminders and the hope I have in…

    Fighting For Integrity

We aren’t born with a heart of integrity, and if we want it, we have to fight for it. – A Life Of Integrity In a world filled with concern for only ones self, and the drive for success, integrity is always being challenged. It isn’t as simple as just making the good choice, we have have to stand against an entire world that apposes us. To fight also means to surround ourselves with people who are always watching and holding us accountable. – A Life Of Integrity We can’t make it through this world as a Christ follower on our own, let alone maintain integrity. We all need partners to do life with and keep us accountable to living a life of integrity. We…

    Day Of Visits And Experiences

We started our day at the World Hope International offices with introductions of some of the key staff that are involved with putting in wells. We also got briefed on some things to expect for the day and coming week. After our time meeting with the staff we got a tour of the drilling equipment and storage by Eugene. Eugene is from Nigeria and was brought to World Hope in Sierra Leone to lead the drilling teams. The tour included a lot of details on what the different equipment is used for in the process of drilling wells. There was so much I never realized went into drilling a well. After the tour we headed out to a village to dedicate a well that Hope…

Back In The Saddle On The Road To Recovery

I couldn’t do another day of just walking. I did my best to keep it a slow jog. I also continued to use the slower pace to have some good one-on-one time with God and pray for friends and family that I know need support for the things they are going through right now. As I continue to recover and work my way into a normal running routine again I need to keep working on where my focus is as I run. I’m thankful for how my recovery is going, and also thankful for the opportunity to see my running from a different perspective. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon
