Moving On From A Marathon…It’s Really Not About Me
So today is the 2nd day since completing the marathon, and unfortunately I find myself in more of a discouraged state than in celebration of my accomplishment. There are many things going through my head, many thoughts that cause me to be more disappointed with marathon Sunday. Nothing played out like I had hoped. I ended up coming in behind most of all the other marathon runners from our group despite leading the pack throughout training. I didn’t get to cross the finish line with my running partner, or my kids. I ended up walking most of the last 4.5 miles. I ended up going to the medical aid tent after crossing the finish line. I have no photo of me crossing the finish line….

5K+ Christmas Morning Training Run
After opening presents with the kids, and helping them get their gifts ready to play with, I headed out for a short Christmas run. I pushed it a bit as I wanted to make sure I wasn’t gone from the family too long. The kids were up before 5am this morning so it was good that I didn’t chance it and try to hey my run in before they woke up. I’m thankful for how God has blessed our family. I’m looking forward to more of a joy filled day. I pray that no matter what the situation any of us are facing this Christmas that we can all still have joy and thankfulness for the greatest gift we have received in Jesus Christ. #HWI…

Impacting The World And The Next Generations
Donate to Clean Water, Donate to the Future: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon Putting in a well in a village in Africa doesn’t only provide for an immediate need, it also impacts future generations. Wells in Africa have the potential to change who the next president or prime minister could be, or the next Olympic gold medalist, or the next major entrepreneur that could change the economic structure. Clean water changes the world and the future. What are we going to invest in, gathering some things that won’t last, or impacting our world and future generations?

Hitting The 20 Mile Mark, And I Feel Fine
Wow, what a great 20 mile training run today. That may sound crazy but with the cool weather and the great company of Harvey, Jason, and John it made for a good time. I can definitely tell I ran 20 miles, a little over actually, but I feel very good. If I can tackle the coming 26.2 mile marathon in the next few weeks like today I should be able to finish in a much better state than last year. I still need some more partners for my #HWI fundraiser. Remember your contribution will be doubled with our our matching funds. #HWI #GRMarathon #WaterIsLife #Run4Water #WhyIRun Donate Now – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne

Only In The Midwest, Rainy Run On Monday And A Snowy Run On Tuesday
Once the winter weather season hits I always have to remember that I will end up slowing down. It’s a good time to focus on just enjoying the run. Some may thinks it’s pretty crazy to consider a winter run as something to be enjoyed. If you dress right you can easily enjoy a winter run. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus Give To Clean Water: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr
