Camping Trip…Sa-weat!

What a weekend! I have to say that this weekend was the most fun and restful trip I’ve had in a long time. From the car-ride on Friday, to the trip back, the weekend was filled with amazing fellowship and much needed rest. On Friday Laura got to my house after work and we headed to the campground, St Croix State Park, to meet up with Chad. Chad had a conference in the area, so he was able to get to the campsite and setup camp before we got there. Switchfoot Fights DRM!

In a story the came out earlier this week. One of the band members of Switchfoot was expressing his anger about the DRM the was put on their latest album. The DRM encoded albums were preventing people from ripping the CDs for use on portable medai players. He was posting instructions on how to circumvent the DRM. Well Sony & EMI have announced that they are recalling the CDs and replacing them. EMI says that it was a mistake. Let’s give it up for Switchfoot!

So yeah, I think I’ll forever be a night owl. Seems like no matter what I can get myself to bed early at all. Of course this makes it almost impossible to get up early in the morning. You’ll notice I didn’t get me devotions in this morning, er rather yesterday seeing as it’s already tomorrow. If there weren’t things going on so close to 5 I’d just get into work by 9 in the morning and work later. Well perhaps after this weekend we’ll giver a go again. So yeah, works been crazy as usual. Looks like I may have like 3 website jobs coming my way too. Jim & Ginny have been spreading the word. I’m grateful but I just don’t know how…

Time To Get Serious: A Tough Subject

Nahum 1:2-6, a God of wrath. The fact that God cannot stand sin, and actually dishes out His wrath because of it, brings a clearer picture of our need for the forgiveness we have through Christ. I think too often we only talk about the love of God, and we don’t see His love in it’s context. God’s love comes to use through Christ. I think we can sometimes easily forget that there really is one single condition of God’s love, that is comes through Christ.

Blog Design Changes…

So I have done some design changes on my blog. I’ve customized it more away from the canned templated I was using. I’m not using an original panoramic photo for my header. I’ve also got the new photo gallery integrated a bit better. I’ve also added the ability to use avatars, that would be little pictures to represent yourself. I’ve even signed up for and allow the use of gravatars. Well, of course, busy-busy it has been. Not much of my life has been posted as of late. It always makes me a little frustrated when I hear the classic argument, “If God does exist, why is there so many bad things in the world?”. I almost what to laugh in disgust.
