    Well folks (readers/freinds) I’m am now know as a Michigander (as Vanessa would call it). I haven’t gotten a new drivers license or license plates on the car but I really do feel at home at the moment. I still need to get myself familiar with the area but I’ve got a map (thx Nessa!) and I’m pretty confident I’ll figure it out in no time.     Katrina Victims, In Our Prayers…

    I was listening to a Podcast yesterday on my way to my parents(surprise..lol), and one comment that was made on there was how the online blog community hasn’t been as active, concerning the Katrina victims, as they were after the tsunami hit South Asia. I was working on my blog, man I’ve been working a lot on it lately, and saw TWiT’s support right on their homepage. Now I know very few people will be visiting my site, most don’t even know about it, but I wanted people that do visit to know, that as a proud member of the blog community, I too am concerned with the tragedy down south.     Dear Family and Friends, You may have already heard, but I wanted to let you know that Kjirsti and I have a new son! Owan Ryan Nilsen was born on January 28, 2006, at 12:47am, and weighed 6 lbs., 12 oz., 20 inches. He is a good size, but came five weeks early Kjirsti went into labor around 10:00pm on Friday, January 27, and gave birth to Owan at 12:47am on Saturday, January 28. He appeared on the scene really fast! The delivery went fine, and the doctor and nurses took care of Owan and watched his vital signs to make sure he was adjusting to his new environment.     Your Attention Please…

    (Exodus 3:1-5) So God used a burning bush to get Moses attention. What does He use today to get our attention. I’m reminded of something a pastor said recently, “can we hear God’s whisper in this loud world?”, can we? The world that we live in is definitely busier and louder than in Biblical times. It took a burning bush even then to get Moses attention. Are we ready and willing to hear the whisper of God as He speaks to us?   • Congrats Peter & Becky…

    Well, I headed down to the Twin Cities today for Peter & Becky’s wedding. I’m glad I gave myself plenty of time. I kind of got lost but still made it an hour before the wedding. I got to see some former camp staff I haven’t seen for awhile. It was fun to reconnect with people again. Greg & Janet sat next to me at the wedding and I got a little caught up on what’s been happening at camp more recently. The wedding was great. I do have to say though that weddings are getting hard for me. Genesis 2:18 was referenced a lot today, which is fitting for a wedding.
