Running Headstrong Into The Polar Vortex

Despite the wind and snow I made pretty decent time. When I got to areas where the snow wasn’t blowing it was a pretty nice light snowfall morning. I spent some of the time praying for the members of our Sierra Leone team and for the experience we will have. Prayed for our need of another lady on the team as well.

It was hard to get going this morning. I was so out of it that initially I forgot my water after walking out the door. I also forgot to turn on my heart rate monitor, and even more I totally forgot to put on my running goggles. It was kind of strange to not have ran since last Thursday, and I always fear any sort of break is going to set my training back. Once I hit the pavement I was moving just as if I hadn’t taken a break. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus Right now the people of Sierra Leone are in the middle of the dry season.
