Another Day, Another Dollar…

Well another day gone. I didn’t feel like I got as much done today as I wanted, but that always seems to be the case. I didn’t even make it to any breaks today. Nothing too special went on today other than the normal Tuesday/Thursday work. Got an exciting email today. Moe Gifts had it’s first sale today! It was someone in Virginia. Don’t kow how they found the site. The site tracker I installed doesn’t seem to be giving very accurate results. My hope is that some of the link exchange work I did is how they got there. It could have also been from the site review requests I posted on either the ChristianWebHost or OSCommerce forums. Either way hopefully this is just the beginning. I’d really like to see the site take off for them. They really want to get to a point of at least breaking even, and then of course to where there making a profit. As I think about it now I should pickup something there for Becky & Peter’s wedding. I should be able get an idea of what they want by using the online Target registry.

I did a little more work on the blog site. Got some more links up & moved some things around. I think I’m going to stick with WordPress after all. It seems to be robust enough for my needs. I tech savy enough that I don’t need a dummy friendly system. Not to say that WP would be hard for the average person to use. The only problem is the admin organization. It took me a little bit to get orientated to it. I’m very interested to perhaps make some contacts to find out what other more technically challenged people might be using.

Well, I need to get my laundry done so I can head to my parents tomorrow. I tell you my nights seem to fly by. I didn’t get any of my calls made. I’ve got to be the king of the procrastinators. Well until tomorrow…

  • The First Disciples

    (John 1:35-39) We see here that John the Baptist had disciples of his own. Actually, later in the Scriptures, Jesus gives us the great commission to go and make disciples. Now the disciples that John had were following him, until they heard and saw Jesus. Really, it was John that pointed his followers to go follow Jesus. Something that is interesting, however, is the fact that John calls Jesus the “Lamb of God”. This was pretty early in Jesus main ministry and I wonder how many people really understood what that meant? Jesus being called the “Lamb of God” really meant that he was a sacrifice given by God.     Quick…New Calendar

    Thx Google for all the neat tools they keep pumping out. I’m now using Google Calendar slightly integrated into my blog. Should work ok. I’m feeling the itch to get back into blogging and podcasting…we’ll see what the schedule brings. I’m also thinking it might be time for a WordPress upgrade and site redesign/makeover. I may even go so far as bridge the gap between my blog site on the Tim blog. Perhaps I’ll bring the designs of the two inline with each other and distribute the content logically between them as well. We’ll see what I feel like doing, let alone have time for.     A Little Behind…LOL

    I just realized how funny that title could be read. LOL. Anyways, I just realized I haven’t posted since like Friday, WOW! Ok, so I should have a lot to write about right, well not so much. Also this going to bed early thing has really been cutting into my blogging time. That and the fact that I’ve been doing some reading each night besides. There just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day for everything. Maybe I’ll have to start doing a mid-day thing, like during lunch. Since I’m usually a long poster this would at least break my posts up into smaller chunks. Well, hmm…I’ll try to get something more in, to recap the weekend, perhaps in the morning. I’m off…

    God Confirms It

    So I just got done reading my devotional this morning. Wouldn’t you know the subject was exactly part of what I was talking about last night. The “normal” life, or balanced life as the devotional put. Christ’s life, as well as the disciples, was anything but normal or balanced. When it comes to meeting the spiritual needs of others, and doing the things that really count, normality isn’t the way to operate. How refreshing it is to have some good quality time to let God fill me for the day, Amen!
