    Being More Social?

    Well, I would say that basically I’m pretty social when it comes to being a geek. I can talk about more than just geeky stuff but give me someone that’s interested and I can definately talk geek. This is probably do to the fact that I listen to a ton of geek Podcasts. This reminds me that I need to put up some links to my Podcast favorites. I should really look at some other genres to add to my Podcast subscription list. Perhaps broaden my horizon a little. I do subscribe to a few of Christian podcasts and the President’s weekly radio address.

    The Christian Responsibility to the Oppressed

    – These days there is a lot of talk about the less fortunate and especially the oppressed. It’s very clear from Scripture that as Christian’s we are to defend, and stand against the oppression that we see. To be clear, however, any stand that we make needs to follow biblical principles, not the rights that the world has made up. Unfortunately, following biblical principles is not how the world wants Christians to stand against oppression.

    What Has Today Brought?

    I’d haveto say that all-in-all it was a decent day. I would have preferred to get a bit farther along in my data-entry, I spent a good portion of the day generating mailing lists. I would have to say that about the best parts of today were getting up early and having some good devotion time and breakfast before I headed off to work. I think both of those things have proven to make my mornings more productive. This evening wasn’t too bad.     What It Means To Be A Good Father

    One of the challenges I have is not getting upset with my kids. In turn that means not making my kids upset with the way I handle my frustrations with their behavior. I need to remember this verse every time I’m faced with training and disciplining my kids. Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them.
