    Being Apart of a Community of Faith…

    I know it’s late but I had to share a little of what happened today. I had the privilege today to talk with my boss, Todd M., about some exciting ideas of establishing a community of faith. He has been leading a group on Sundays, which I am apart of, and Wednesdays. We’re studying “The Passionate Life” and the Life Shapes. What is more we all have a desire to get away from the model of “doing church”, but being apart of a group of believers that is missional & relational, where Christ’s design for the “church” is lived out in our daily lives.     God’s Working

    In an effort to trying posting on a regular basis, here goes #2 for the year. 🙂 Recently over the course of a few weeks I applied for a job, got 2 intrviews and was offered a job. The job, in-and-of itself, I would have loved, however it would have come at a great financial cost to my family, which would have made it much harder to either adopt again or think about buying a new house. I think what was most important that came out of the whole situation was the realization that neither me or my family has any real goals or plans for our lives.     My Beautiful Birthday Girl

    On Saturday I had the pleasure to take my very special girl, Vanessa, out for a dinner cruise on Lake Michigan. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset, dinner, and a little dancing. I enjoyed every moment celebrating the day with Vanessa. I don’t know if I can really express how much I care for her. I can honestly say that I don’t think I can imagine a life without her. I’m always in awe at how great God is to have brought us together. A year ago I never would have thought I’d be living in Michigan and have such an amazing woman in my life.
