    Long Day, Long Ride…

    Well, got pulled in a lot of directions at work today. Things were still pretty quite. No one else was around in my department. It sure was a Friday, things got to be rolling pretty well in the break room this morning. This is to be expected when Armin is around on a Friday. It definitely brought back memories of the trip out to the East Coast earlier this summer.

    To Blog or Not To Blog, Why Not

    As I was looking over the days RSS feeds I came across a news story on Digg by a mother. I just had to think again about this whole business of blogging. Even this past weekend as I looked through the classified ads that Vanessa had saved for me there was an article that talked about the dangers of blogging and trying to get a job. While I wouldn’t consider my blog to contain much of anything that is questionable, I still wonder about it all. I wonder if I should be so willing to participate in something that has so many dangers? Does my very involvement promote the activity to the youth that I am in contact with each week? Why does it seem as though the Christian community (church global) continue to fail in it’s ministry to the world we live in?     Switchfoot Fights DRM!

    In a story the came out earlier this week. One of the band members of Switchfoot was expressing his anger about the DRM the was put on their latest album. The DRM encoded albums were preventing people from ripping the CDs for use on portable medai players. He was posting instructions on how to circumvent the DRM. Well Sony & EMI have announced that they are recalling the CDs and replacing them. EMI says that it was a mistake. Let’s give it up for Switchfoot!
