    Moving On From A Marathon…It’s Really Not About Me

    So today is the 2nd day since completing the marathon, and unfortunately I find myself in more of a discouraged state than in celebration of my accomplishment. There are many things going through my head, many thoughts that cause me to be more disappointed with marathon Sunday. Nothing played out like I had hoped. I ended up coming in behind most of all the other marathon runners from our group despite leading the pack throughout training. I didn’t get to cross the finish line with my running partner, or my kids. I ended up walking most of the last 4.5 miles. I ended up going to the medical aid tent after crossing the finish line.   • Moved In And Lovin’ It

    Well folks (readers/freinds) I’m am now know as a Michigander (as Vanessa would call it). I haven’t gotten a new drivers license or license plates on the car but I really do feel at home at the moment. I still need to get myself familiar with the area but I’ve got a map (thx Nessa!) and I’m pretty confident I’ll figure it out in no time. The move went pretty well, all except the long drive, and little sleep, between Thursday & Friday. Thanks to those of you that helped with all the packing and loading.   • Let The Games Begin…

    Well, I have to say it was nice to be getting back into the swing of playing Settlers of Catan. There was only four of us tonight, verses the regular 5, but it was a good close game all around. Right off the bat I noticed I made a rather major error in the placement of my pieces that kind of did me in for winning. Work today was pretty good. It never seems like I get everything I want to get done. I did mostly complete one project, at least the biggest part of it. Hopefully next week I’ll be able to wrap that up.     What’s Up With Me Today…

    Of course, anyone that read my blog earlier, or will read my earlier post, will know that my day started out kind of crappy. Let’s just say that my mind and emotions got the better of me. Thanks to God for great friends and encouragers. I’m not sure if perhaps Caristy read my blog and told John to invite me out with the seminary students for lunch but it made a huge difference in my day. I won’t doubt that this was just God at work.
