    Wild Life: No One Gets The Master Plan, And No One Is Perfect

    I’ve known for a long time that I’m a perfectionist and a planner. This had always been both a strength and a great weakness for me. The major weakness is that I’m always trying to figure out God’s plan and I turn my perfectionism into unrealistic expectations of others. Also my perfectionism takes a lot of joy out of life. It means that unless it’s perfect I’m not happy, and the kicker is that it most likely 9 times out of 10 it isn’t going to be perfect. That’s a pretty sad way to live honestly.   • The Engagement…

    So I know that I’d let everyone know how the engagement happened so here it is. It’s not some super amazing thing. I really wish I could have made it a super magical experience but I just didn’t get there. I planned out a full day of activities together starting with breakfast. I was wanting to include Vanessa’s parents in on the breakfast but they couldn’t make it. Before I got to her place to take her to breakfast I made a quick stop over to the flower shop to get a rose for her. My plan was to use it later in the day.     Unfortunate News…

    So I didn’t get a blog entry in yesterday. Oh well, not much went on. I spent a good portion of the day trying to work out wireless issues. I won’t go into the details, however, ended up spending time today working on it too. I guess it’s back to the drawing board on this one. I’m going to need to do some more research into this. So I got two rather unfortunate emails today, both from my Mom. She’s going to be leaving our home church and finding a new church. This has a lot to do with everything that went on with Masha and how too many people at church didn’t understand. Things were very hard for my whole family. People at church…

    A Timely Study I Needed This Week

    This was an interesting week to say the least. Did it go like I had planned, or hoped, maybe not? This week did teach me some clear areas I need to work on as a parent, and an even greater appreciation for how amazing my wife is. This study was both timely and needed as I worked through this week. I highly recommend anyone in the parenting stage to give this devotional a read, but prepared to be challenged by it.
