Managing A Late Start Interval Run

This morning had an off start. After waking up and looking at the time I realized I had forgot to change my alarm the night before and I had woken up an hour late. I tried to get myself out the door as soon as I could but I knew there was no way I was going to get the 8-9 miles in that my training plan called for. On top of that it was an interval training run. I decided to just follow the intervals but cut the run short in order to get back home at a decent time. I did manage to get just shy of miles in, even though I had some tough going intervals. When you throw the major wind resistance and the crazy April snow, the conditions were less than ideal. Despite the challenges I got a decent run in.

Beating The Urge To Go Back To Bed

A little windy this morning but it made for a nice cool run. I didn’t feel like I slept very well so it was hard to get going this morning. The thought crossed my mind a couple of times to just skip the run today and go back to bed. I couldn’t get myself to do that though. I know that once I actually get moving things turn around. Also, it’s the best time for me to get one-on-one with God with little distraction. It’s hard to believe that the #GRMarathon is only like 6 weeks away. I still have some fundraising to do for #HWI and I’d really like to get to $2000 but that will be a big challenge for sure. #Run4Water Hudsonville,…

I’m glad to say that I didn’t end up with any significant injuries from my fall on Saturday, other than some scraped up knees. I managed a pretty intensive run this morning. Everything felt great.
  • Final Training Run

A day late on posting this. Better late than never, right? It’s hard to imagine that I’m only a couple of days away from the marathon. I so appreciate this guy training with me these past many weeks. Looking forward to hitting the next milestone and crossing the finish line together.
