Back home at the gym and I had my best distance yet on the treadmill. I think putting in the extra time on my parents treadmill over the holiday trip was well worth it. [endomondowp type=’workout’ workout_id=’853496010′]
It wasn’t a rainy morning but it sure was foggy. It was still good weather for a run. However, note to self, always wear nip guards on longer runs. I enjoy having the extended runs during the week as it gives me more quiet time. Getting enough sleep is the biggest problem though with the longer runs. I know that I’d probably do better with my runs if I generally got more sleep. I spent some time reflecting on my trip to Sierra Leone during my prayer time. That also prompted me to lift of the #HWI team as we continue to raise support for more wells in Africa. #GRMarathon #Run4Water #WhyIRun #WaterIsLife Give Water, Give Life – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne
Finished day 2 of my 7 miles a day challenge and feeling good looking forward to the days ahead.
I really worked on trying to keep it an easy run, and not push myself so hard, this morning. I made a point of listening to my heart rate, especially for a long easy run. The very fact that Jesus said “take up your cross and follow me” is pretty self-explanatory on what that is…
I waivered on whether to go out and run or break out the treadmill this morning. For me I figure if I’ve ran part of a marathon in a cold downpouring rain I can handle a 50 degree sprinkle for a free miles. In general I will always opt for the outdoors versus the treadmill. I found a new worship running album on Google Play Music this morning which I really enjoyed, and felt God had wanted me to hear that specific selection of songs this morning. I spent a chunk of time praying for the guys in my accountability group. Seems like more than ever lately all of us have felt attacked or at a low point. I’m thankful to have a group of…
Did someone turn back the clock? I thought the winter running was well behind us, and I was enjoying shedding some of the layers. It made for tougher running when I had a harder time getting some traction. It was still an good time to be out and getting some miles in. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun
