Kicking It Into High Great After A Day Of Rest
After taking the previous day off due to lack of sleep I was more than ready to go this morning. So much so that I was pretty much in a comfortable high gear for most of the run. It helps to be rockin’ the worship music right along with my run. I have to give credit to those longer hard speed work training days too. I’m still looking for a few more people that might consider donating to wells in Africa as the year comes to an end and Christmas approaches. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus Donate to Water – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne

Coming off of the 25K, and still being sore the day after, I decided that following the reverse training plan tactic might be best. I honestly can’t explain how it is that I ended up hitting the crazy pace other than it just felt right and I didn’t feel like I was killing myself. Actually, as my run went on my pace got faster. It feels pretty good to have exceeded my goal…
Not Getting Caught Up With PRs And Race Pace
A little wet this morning but still nothing like last year’s #GRMarathon with the cold downpouring rain. Today being a longer race pace training run it was hard for me to not just focus on the run. With this type of training run you start thinking about what your race pace should be. It’s so easy to begin the comparison game and feel like you should be able to do better. What I’ve come to appreciate is that there are enough people in the running world that don’t let themselves get caught up in all the PRs, the studies on how to get better and so on. There are those that have found the place where running is about getting outside, staying active for their…
