An Early Morning Snowy Progressive Run

It was a hard run, especially with the snow, but I got it done. It was an early run too, as I needed to get it wrapped up before my wife needed to leave. The snow made it very hard to hit my target pace when the second part of the run called for kicking into high gear. I’m hoping that the sidewalks and walkways all get cleared before this next week of runs.

    Training During The Winter, Treadmill Alternatives

    So up until the end of December I’d been sticking out running outside. Since the snow began to fly I’ve taken things indoors on the dreaded treadmill. 😉 Currently the treadmill running has been thanks to a great 3-month deal on a gym membership.     Short Easy Wintery Run

    Since I’ll be getting a lot of walking in today on my daughter’s field trip I decided to just get it a few miles this morning. Nice short slow run. It was much colder than yesterday so I put on an extra layer. Sporting my new winter running gloves with reflective finger covers. Since the majority of my running is in the dark I do my best to think about safety and being seen. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun

    The Keyword is “Since” Not “If”

    As a follow up to my previous post it’s important that we remember that everything we are called to do as a Christ follower is in the context of “since” and not “if”. What’s the difference? If we have the thinking, “if someone is doing ‘x’, or not doing ‘y’, they can’t be a believer”, we are basically inferring that someone has no faith or belief in Christ because of their actions. That’s a pretty big leap, and a sure fire way to further the view that Christians are righteous, judgemental, hippacrits, essentially modern day Pharisees.
