“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.”

Pedro_Weingärtner_-_Harvest_in_Anticoli_-_Google_Art_Project(Matthew 9:37) Why does it seem that the spiritual needs of people in this world vastly out-weigh the human resources? Why does it seem as though the Christian community (church global) continue to fail in it’s ministry to the world we live in? Where is our faith, is it so small that it has rendered our witness useless? Am I the only one out here that has his hearting breaking every time I see the brokenness of this world? How do we truely make a global impact for Christ in this world? God, give me Your guidance and wisdom, help me to be the kind of Christian You call us to be. Keep my eyes open, and give me the courage to share Your message and love to those around me.

The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly…

Well, yes I’m finally posting to the blog again. Trips tend to take me out of the blog-o-sphere. Well, sorry to disappoint many, but this is going to be a short one tonight. I’m not quite out of the dark on the sick feeling that hit me yesterday, pretty close though. The Good: Had a good time with my family and got to hang out with two of my best friends growing up. It’s interesting to see where we are all at now in life. John’s all married with a baby on the way. Sounds like they’ll be doing some moving around in the years to come. I really hope John’s finds the job he’s really looking for. Jeff is still as quirky as every….

    Life Without Internet…Wednesday

So back to Wednesday…it was a bit of a crazy day, as most Wednesdays are. I basically headed straight to church after work. I had Sunday Morning Worship Team practice before youth group. I started early with just Brad. It can be a real challenge for me as I’m not used to playing in more of a backup role on the guitar. I feel pretty clueless as to how to play. What didn’t help matters either was that a lot of the songs I either didn’t know or have never played on the guitar. (I’ve since remedy some of this by more practicing on my own, and I found a couple of the songs on iTunes as we play them. Thanks Passion Worship Band) The…

    Gracious And Attractive Conversations

Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone. – Colossians 4:5‭-‬6 NLT As believers we are called to speak with grace and love to those that are non-believers. We cannot hold a non-believer to any calling that God has made, that is not our place.
  • What Is A Church?

As given to me by someone else: A church is a local expression of the global and historical body of Christ where: ¬∑ People intentionally share life together. It is a spiritual community where life‚Äôs resources are joined together, people are expected and are equipped to be vulnerable and accountable with one another, and the community and the needs of those inside and outside the community are met. (Acts 4:32-34, 2:42-47) ¬∑ Worship is experienced. God is central, God‚Äôs worth is lifted high, and Jesus is worship as God. It brings people into the meeting of heaven and earth, and calls the believer to live life for the reality that awaits. (Romans 12:1-2, Rev.4:5-21) ¬∑ Ministry takes place. Ministry is a natural outpouring and result…

    Reality Check…

Yeah, so I’ve been a lot of thinking lately. Surprised? 😛 Wednesday, at youth group, an interesting question was asked. “What makes you happy?” This really got me thinking. It was very hard for me to actually stop and consider what does make me happy. I made a comment about the fact that I really find enjoyment in helping others out, especially when it comes to computers. Times that I have to spend with friends, like this past weekend, that makes me happy. I think I spend so much time thinking about how alone I am that I don’t feel very happy a lot of the times. I think I’ve been living as though once I find that special someone that everything will be right…
