First Long Run Of The New Year
I’m thankful for the nice weather this evening, and for making it back safely from Minnesota, to get my long run in tonight. It was a tough one doing it at night and all alone. You don’t realize how many miles a running partner gets you through without you even feeling it until you don’t have one on those long runs. I’m looking forward to getting back to a normal routine again. Not that I’m happy with just the status quo, but being back in a controlled environment where it’s easier to stick to the good habits and resist the bad ones. A bit of a wet morning, but not a downpour, so it kept things a little cooler. It was a good thing it was only just shy of 6 miles, as I needed to be able to make it home to get to the bathroom. That last mile was a bit uncomfortable. Where are the best places for wells to go in Africa? The desire with new wells is to place them where they will have the maximum impact on the community. In many cases this will be near the school in the village. Water has a huge impact on children in Africa.
