Sporting the Slip n Slide 5K shirt on my training run this morning. It was a hot one at 5am, I can’t imagine doing my run later today. Running in the heat took me back to our short 3 mile run in Freetown #SierraLeone and remembering #WhyIRun for those in need. I was blessed to have 2 fresh bottles of water available to me while I ran. It was a real struggle to do 10 miles this morning after coming down with a cold and missing a training run. The first half was pretty good but the second half was a big push. I only got caught in a little bit of rain at the 7 mile mark so it was actually refreshing. Had a short easy run this morning, except for the snowplow covered sidewalks. I’m thankful for those that actually got out and cleared their sidewalks. Listening to worship music while I ran was good to my mind focused on why I run. Today is #GivingTuesday and there are matching funds available when giving to #HWI so I hope many take advantage of the opportunity to double their giving. Also, I did register for the #GroundhogDayMarathon so I’d love to have the support of people to help me reach that final $2000 goal. I only have $300 left to go.
