Getting in a Long Run Before The Holiday Weekend
I shifted my long run day to Thursday. It’s OK right now, I have a feeling it’s going to be harder when I need to do a 12 mile run in the wee hours of a Thursday morning before work. #HWI #Run4Water #GRHalfMarathon #Garmin #HalfMarathon #Running
A Verse That Describes The Church In Kathirie Sierra Leone
“They are being tested by many troubles, and they are very poor. But they are also filled with abundant joy, which has overflowed in rich generosity.” – 2 Corinthians 8:2 NLT This morning at Daybreak this verse was one that was part of Pastor Wes’ message. As it was being read I instantly began remembering my experience at the Sunday morning service in Kathirie. As I watched the church members give the morning offerings, giving not only to the general offering but also to a building fund and missions, I could only think about the amazing work God was doing in the village.Wanna Buy My Blog?…LOL

Getting Back on the Saddle After a Brief Break
After a couple week break, a new phone, new app, and a new training plan I’m back to my early morning runs. I’m hoping that I can get back into things. #HalfMarathon #Training

I really need to start working on a new training plan soon. I’ll have to wait to start a new training plan until I’m back I the swing of things after my surgery next week. I’m hoping that I don’t have to take too much of a break from running after my surgery, but we’ll see what happens. I’m still in the fence on whether I’ll be running the full marathon again this year or if I’ll be scaling back to the half marathon. I’ll have to make a final decision once I’ve recovered from my…
Nailing The Saturday Long Run
This morning I really just ran to the worship music and went at the pace that felt comfortable. I’m pretty blown away to see how much I improved my pace in just a couple of weeks, where I finished with a 9:50 min/mi pace. I think the most enjoyable part of my run this morning was just being pleasantly surprised by the next worship song. When the next song came on I just got into a zone of focusing on the music and running in time with it. I loved it. When I run in the morning it has 2 main purposes for me, the first is to have a conversation starter to make people aware of the huge need for wells in Africa, and…
