Getting The Saturday Long Run Done

We all have those off days, for me today was one of those. The second half of my run was more challenging than last week. Given I PR’d for a half marathon I was surprised by today. I really can’t complain, I was supposed to be running a 9:40 min/mi pace. So in reality I was pushing when I shouldn’t have been. Some times I think about giving up the focus on pace and even getting faster and just go out and enjoy the run for what it is. I’m sure at some point I’ll get there, I’m just not sure if I’m ready to be at that place yet. When you are running for almost 2 hours you have a lot of time to…

Fighting The Urge To Just Go Back To Bed

It was tough to get going this morning. After another rough night with my daughter not being able to sleep I had all I could do to not just go back to bed after the alarm went off. Once I actually got the pavement my pace was a slow start for sure. I’m happy to say though that by the end things had turned around. I did enjoy a good time in prayer and worship. I also lifted up our Enable The Children sponsored child and his family. I know that life is a…

With the exception of some shorter runs with the Hope Water team on Saturdays, or a race, my time to run is generally early in the morning before the sun rises. Except for the fact that I’m not really a morning person, and would rather stay in bed than get up and run, I like the peacefulness of an early morning run….

    Gracious And Attractive Conversations

Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone. – Colossians 4:5‭-‬6 NLT As believers we are called to speak with grace and love to those that are non-believers. We cannot hold a non-believer to any calling that God has made, that is not our place.
