First Long Run Of The New Year
I’m thankful for the nice weather this evening, and for making it back safely from Minnesota, to get my long run in tonight. It was a tough one doing it at night and all alone. You don’t realize how many miles a running partner gets you through without you even feeling it until you don’t have one on those long runs. This post is the beginning of something bigger than myself. As I’ve been walking through a journey to get healthy over the past 8 months I have had many encounters with people that have asked me, either in depth or briefly, the “secret” to my weight loss. Recently, as I had breakfast with a very close friend/co-worker/brother-in-Christ he mentioned that I have a story worthy of a book. I’m officially registered for the GR Half Marathon. Looking forward to the journey and the community! What a great night for the Hope Water kick off! I’ll be doing the half marathon, which seems crazy, but my wife is my inspiration. I also can’t wait to be a part of the the amazing work God is doing with the Hope Water Team to provide clean water to people in Africa. So proud of my wife who is joining the team headed to Africa in a week to dedicate some of the wells the team helped to put in and serve the people.
