Office Construction Underway & Wasting Time…
Ok, so of course as soon as I get into work this morning, Monday, I get people telling me that can’t log into the network. Well, I knew there has been some power blips at my house over the weekend, and the servers we’re up and running, so I just power-cycled the two switches between the servers and the rest of the network. Everything came back online, yeah! I’m hoping this setup lasts us through the week. We got the rest of everything moved out of the server room so that the could begin the construction. Well folks (readers/freinds) I’m am now know as a Michigander (as Vanessa would call it). I haven’t gotten a new drivers license or license plates on the car but I really do feel at home at the moment. I still need to get myself familiar with the area but I’ve got a map (thx Nessa!) and I’m pretty confident I’ll figure it out in no time. The move went pretty well, all except the long drive, and little sleep, between Thursday & Friday. Thanks to those of you that helped with all the packing and loading. Well I feel like I’ve been really disconnected over the past few days. It’s kind of crazy how your life can feel likes it’s fallen apart when you don’t have internet. Ok, so my life didn’t fall apart, but I was at a loss of what to do. I guess it got me going to bed a bit earlier. My biggest issue was not being able to blog. I’ve kind of become so accustomed to doing my blog when things prevent me from doing it I feel like I’ve become disconnected. Anyways, internet is back and life is good. I know it can only be a quick one. I can’t believe it’s been over a month since my last post. I remember the days when I could barely posting only single entry each day on my blog. I’m really thinking once life settles down a little, that I really want to get back into at least giving some updates with what Vanessa and I are up to. Only 19 more days until I’ll be a married man! I really can hardly believe it. And the thing that seems even more amazing is that I’m going to be marrying an unbelievable and amazing woman like Vanessa. OK, let’s recap the day first. Got up at 5:30 this morning. Had some good time before work. I still really feel getting up at 5:00 would be better, I just can’t get to bed very early, grrr. Work was good today. I feel like I’m finally getting caught up with stuff. Yes! That’ll probably jinks it, LOL. I’m finding that I’m going to have to do some research to find a better system for the free church websites we’re providing. I might have to do something custom, so long as it’s easy to use.
