Thankful During The Storms

1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT

It’s easy to be thankful when things are going good, even though I think we forget to be. It’s an even greater challenge to be thankful in the storms of life. If we would only take time to be be thankful, and to show appreciation for others, lifr would look very different I suspect.

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. – 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT

    Just Another Quick One

    So it won’t be long, of course it’s getting late again. Well I think I can count like 5 books I’m now in the process of reading…probably going to add another couple more before the month even starts I think.   • I Need A Backup…Can I Practice

    So, as things seemed to go, I didn’t get nearly what I wanted to get done at work today. Most of my time today was spent working out some backup & database issues. The worst of it is I still can’t get the backup software installed on the server. I know this is going to bite me if I don’t get it resolved soon. Interesting thing is my Dad happened to send me an email asking about backup software for their computer. I haven’t gotten a chance to respond, I figure I can talk with him about it this weekend when I’m visiting.     A Post, A Post, At Last A Post

    So what have we been up to, well when I say we I mean me. So life has been a little crazy this past week, although I don’t expect it to calm down anytime soon. I’ve got a lot of things to do by this weekend. I’ve got a load of photos to scan and some more video to import. I don’t think I’ll be getting the Cantata CD’s done by Christmas, oh well. Ok I guess I’m getting a little ahead of myself. How about we go back to last week. So my last post was Wednesday. That night was youth group and the whole youth praise team was there to lead music.     Where’s The Line…Freedom in Christ or Good Witness

    (1 Corinthians 14:13-25) In my devotion time today, Paul was again talking to the church in Corinth about matters of witness to unbelievers and escentially the freedom found in Christ. The problem for the early church, and I would say that this problem has not gone away, was that for the unbelievers (or even weak or new in faith) there were things that they didn’t understand which easily turned them off to Christianity. The hard part comes in that God has called us, as Christians, to be different than this world. While we are to be different we are also to do so, not in a way that turns people away, but in a way that draws other to Christ. There comes decisions which have…
