When God Moves Mountains, Hitting The Halfway Mark

“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible. ”
- Matthew 17:20 NLT

I have been amazed at how God has been working this week. To raise over $1500 in less than a week is amazing beyond words. I have to say that the anonymous donor that gave $750 towards my trip was the thing that shocked me the most this week. I am humbled and honored that someone out there felt God’s calling to bless me in this way. I can’t wait to see what God continues to do in the weeks ahead. And as I’ve said to others there is no doubt in my mind that God has something bigger in store for my trip than I even realize. @Work

    Better Together: Community On Mission

God wants us to share that Good News. But you’re not alone! God wants you to go on mission with other people. Philippians 1:27 says, “You are standing side by side with one strong purpose — to tell the Good News” (TLB). Better Together Devotional God calls us to the #mission of sharing the Good News, but He doesn’t require us to do it all by ourselves. God gives us #community to share in the mission. “Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting…

    First “Long Run” of 2021

Started of this new year with a 10K Saturday “long run”, as my training plan called it. It was a tough run. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun #Hello2021 #NewYear I can tell that this past year has taken a toll on my health. Unfortunately I’m a stress eater. I think food has always been something that I’ve used to feel good. Of course, when you live a pretty sedentary lifestyle, that causes weight gain and I struggled with that for many years. I haven’t gained all of the weight back that I lost a few years ago, staying active and running has helped with that. However, my eating habits this past year started to regress. I need to get back in track this year. I signed…

9.4 Mile Combo Training Plan Run, With Some Rain On The Side

Today was another combo plan training run, #Endomodo distance and #HWI pace. Does that surprise anyone? Ha. It was nice to have things a bit warmer given the wind and rain. I don’t feel as soaked as yesterday but early in my run I felt like I was headed into a hurricane, especially when you see the rain moving horizontally. After making through the first half of my run I spent the 2nd half praying for the village of #Ronkorhun and the church that is supporting them. I also thought about all those from the #HlWI team that have incurred some sort of injury that is now preventing them from running. Lastly, my thoughts turned to my sister’s new family addition PJ, who was just…

    Giving Your Time And Attention

Nothing can replace time. Kids don’t need things; they need time. YouVersion plan ‘Better Together’. Check it out here:http://bible.com/r/Qc Just last night I had the opportunity to help start the Watch D.O.G.S. program at my children’s elementary school. One of the reasons for this is put together so nicely in my devotions this morning, showing our kids how important they are by giving them time. The essence of relationships is not what we do for each other or what we give to each other. The essence of relationships is how much of ourselves we give to each other. YouVersion plan ‘Better Together’. Check it out here:http://bible.com/r/Qc “I give my wife everything she needs. I give my kids everything they need. What more do they want?”…
