Another Thursday morning training run in the books with my running partner. I look forward to our Thursday runs and catching up on each others’ lives. The relationships are one of the big things I love about being a part of the #HWI team. #GRMarathon #Run4Water #RunningRelationships

I finished up my run this morning with a tough second half. This seems to be the norm right now, but every day I get out and run is still one step closer to being able to make it farther or longer. #HWI #KCC #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRHalfMarathon
I’m getting closer to my goal, only $255 to go. Partner with me today to bring clean water to another 14 people. https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon Putting in a well in a village in Africa is not about just dropping a handout to people and then moving on. A well is the start of helping a village help themselves. The responsibility of the well, and the well-being of the village, is on a team of leaders from the village. Jesus spoke about what our world will be like before he returns. We often say that the world is ”going to hell in a hand basket”, and to a degree, it’s supposed to be. This doesn’t mean that as Christ followers we just sit idly by and watch it happen. We are called to stand firm in the faith and share the Good News of God’s grace and forgiveness with the world, no matter how they treat us, no matter the cost. #ShowLove #StandFirm #SpeakTruth
It was one of those mornings where after getting up you entertain the idea of just going back to bed instead of get out there for a run. I got over it and hit the streets. It was a slow start, but by the end of my run I had easily picked up the pace. I came to a point, after having prayed for the pending #SierraLeone team, that it kind of dawned on me. How many of those in Sierra Leone get tired of the daily trek to get water for another day? They don’t really have the choice. I had a relatively easy choice this morning, nothing in my life hinges on that choice to run or not. My choice to run may…
