Running in Community, Getting Through 11 Miles With The Team

The weather was nice and cool for an 11 mile run. I had a great time running with Ryan and Josh. You can go a lot farther than you think when you have a group to help you keep moving towards the finish line.

    As I felt the light rain coming down as I ran I couldn’t help but think of #SierraLeone and the long drive season they, putting a strain on water supplies. I especially thought of the village of #Ronkorhun and their struggles for water. I continue to pray for the rains needed to grow their crops and restore their water supplies.     What Difference Does A Drilled Well Make?

    Something that may not really be understood when people hear that #HWI helps to put in wells in Africa. The wells that Hope Water International partners with #WorldHope are drilled wells. These wells go down deep to clean water, and they overcome the challenges of the dry season.     Running Is My One On One Time

    It’s still a little bit to get used to doing these longer “midweek” runs on a Monday instead of a Tuesday, but I think I’m getting into a groove with it. It’s nice to have a long “easy” run on a Monday where is can spend a lot of time listening to worship music, listening for God’s direction, and presenting the needs of friends and family to Him. I can honestly say that getting our for a morning run has not only been good for my physical health but it’s had a huge impact on my spiritual health as well.     Better Together – Why We Need Community

We’re not going to let you get depressed. We’re not going to let you worry.     Kicking It Into High Great After A Day Of Rest

    After taking the previous day off due to lack of sleep I was more than ready to go this morning. So much so that I was pretty much in a comfortable high gear for most of the run. It helps to be rockin’ the worship music right along with my run. I have to give credit to those longer hard speed work training days too.
