A Wet Thursday For Speed Work
Today was a speed work day, and so it goes with those my mind was pretty much totally focused on my run and hitting the target paces. I did still have the worship music going so I was at least still able to connect with God that way. We all have those off days, for me today was one of those. The second half of my run was more challenging than last week. Given I PR’d for a half marathon I was surprised by today. I really can’t complain, I was supposed to be running a 9:40 min/mi pace. So in reality I was pushing when I shouldn’t have been. Some times I think about giving up the focus on pace and even getting faster and just go out and enjoy the run for what it is. I’m sure at some point I’ll get there, I’m just not sure if I’m ready to be at that place yet. When you are running for almost 2 hours you have a lot of time to…Running To The Worship Beat
This week starts a switch up of my Monday and Tuesday running schedule. All I can say is that the Spirit was moving while I listened to the worship music. My run was pretty much kicked onto high gear but the whole time the music was speaking to right where I’m at these days. When clean water is brought to a community it’s not done suddenly and randomly then moving on to another random village. World Hope(#WHI) works with a carefully chosen village to establish ownership of the well by that village. The village agrees to manage and care for the well in order to serve their community for the long term. The are taught how to maintain and repair the well, and are tasked with protecting it as well. This model follows the saying, “Give a man a fish, feed him today.
