What Has Today Brought?

I’d haveto say that all-in-all it was a decent day. I would have preferred to get a bit farther along in my data-entry, I spent a good portion of the day generating mailing lists. I would have to say that about the best parts of today were getting up early and having some good devotion time and breakfast before I headed off to work. I think both of those things have proven to make my mornings more productive. This evening wasn’t too bad. I didn’t get quite as much accomplished tonight as I had hoped but I did manage to have a rather tasty steak and potato supper, I also began creating an actual budget I hope to be sticking by. This was a huge eye opener. I didn’t realize how much I sort of relied on the side jobs I always seem to be getting, I thank God for knowing what I need. I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to cut out one additional trip home this month, and I’m still not certain how I’m going to pay for everything when I head out to MI. I’ve pretty much figured I’ll be sticking to a lunch of popcorn for quite some time. I’ll probably have to bring back the glory days of Ramen as well. I’m fortunate that I’ve got a good supply of meat that should get me by for quite some time. Gotta get myself some of the other dirt cheao meals like oatmeal & pancakes. It’s not like I can’t stand to lose a few pounds anyways, so it’s not all bad.

So, of course my whole life isn’t revolving around money. Well, what else consumed my evening? I ran over to my boss’s house for a bit to help him get Linux booted up on an old computer of his. It didn’t take me too long to get it going. I’m glad to have found that the wireless equipment I setup for him awhile ago was working great with the Linux LiveCD distro. Tried using the Ubuntu disc but found it was an install CD not the live CD. I pulled out the next-in-line which happened to be another sweet Linux live CD distro call Mepis, it took off without a hitch.

The rest of my evening consisted of the budget work and talking online with Vanessa. For those of you that don’t know, how could that be, Vanessa is the one I’m currently dating. It’s a rather complicated long distance relationship at the moment, but on the good side it means more flying and most of all getting to know one of the most wonderful women I know. I really look forward to getting some opportunities to introduce her to my friends and family. I’m quite certain they will like her as much as I do. 🙂

Well, it’s getting late and I’m going to tackle some reading before my head hit’s the pillow. On the bright side, I did get a post in for all your enjoymeny, lol. Valete!

Why Does The Future Look Cloudy?

Well, the world of IM & eHarmony have taking up a bit of my blogging time tonight. I won’t be getting much posted here before I call it a night. Something that I’ve struggled with over the past few days has been this thing called life, and more specifically the future of it. As each day passes, and new things arise, I wonder why my future looks like such an unknown. At times I wonder if I should be making plans and setting goals. The reality of it is that for quite some time my ultimate goal has been to serve the Lord wherever I’m at. I’m doing that right now, so what further plans should I be making. Two things have come up more…

The first day of youth group begins tomorrow, and we had are first youth praise team meeting today, since Christmas that is. Change Me…Sanctus Real

Did I change your mind, with what I said last night? Did I break your heart, by straying so far? From what you have in mind, for my life? Would you change me, from who I’ve been lately? ‘Cause I know I’m nothing without you. Did my words betray, the patience I once claimed? Can’t you see it in my face? I need your grace. Would you change me, from who I’ve been lately? ‘Cause I know I’m nothing without you. Would you save me, from the way I’ve been lately? ‘Cause I can’t see living without you. Would you speak to me? Show me what I need.

    Long Time Gone…

Well, it seems that once I get out of sync with something it can be like pulling teeth to get back into it. It pretty much began when I moved out here to Michigan that my online presence started to fade a little. Since I’ve gotten married it’s been even less. I think what has happened is that when I was just a single guy there was not really anyone much to protect. I could pretty much voice my opinion and share my feelings about anything to the entire world without much fear of the consequences. Things are very different now. I have a wife to protect. This isn’t a bad thing. I’d protect her from anything I could, she’s my wife, I love her…

The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly…

Well, yes I’m finally posting to the blog again. Trips tend to take me out of the blog-o-sphere. Well, sorry to disappoint many, but this is going to be a short one tonight. I’m not quite out of the dark on the sick feeling that hit me yesterday, pretty close though. The Good: Had a good time with my family and got to hang out with two of my best friends growing up. It’s interesting to see where we are all at now in life. John’s all married with a baby on the way. Sounds like they’ll be doing some moving around in the years to come. I really hope John’s finds the job he’s really looking for. Jeff is still as quirky as every….
  • The Other John

(John 1:15-28) – One thing that can be confusing wen you are reading through the Scriptures is the fact that the same names are used in more than one context. Here we’re reading the book of John and right at the begin he begins talking about John. The John that is talked about here is actually John the Baptist who, if you read more of the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John) you’ll find out is actually Jesus cousin. Now John the Baptist was called by God to go ahead of Jesus and prepare people for his coming. John was a pretty wild looking guy and got pretty riled up when speaking about Jesus coming. Since he was baptizing people the Pharisees were pretty interested…

  1. Ahhh….that’s slightly disturbing from a girl’s point of view…Personally, I’d be happy that Tim thinks that Vanessa is a wonderful woman. Sorry Alex!
