    What God Brings…

    It has been a few days since my last update. I think I should now be able to have more regular updates as I finally have internet access at my place, and my wireless is up and running. It’s not that I couldn’t post from Vanessa’s, that’s where the last one was posted from, I’ve just had a lot of other things to do during the day, and my best posting time is usually at night.     A Day of Blessings…

    Well today has been such a full day of blessings. The sermon this morning, given by President Egge, was on generosity and not just about giving money, but the generosity that Christ showed to all through time & help. It was really good to hear about being generous in all areas of your life, following Christ’s example. Our LifeShapes study was excellent as well. Today we went through the hexagon, which focuses on prayer, and using the Lord’s Prayer as the model. While it gace and guideline, it also showed the vast ways that guideline can be worked out in our prayer life.     Not To Be Concerned…

    I want to thank those of you that expressed concern for me because of my protected post. It’s so amazing to know that there are so many people that care about how I’m doing. I want to assure you all that things are simply amazing right now. I know that most of you don’t really know Vanessa, but I hope that you will get to meet her some day, but for me she is the most amazing woman I know. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of her and feel so completely blessed by God for how He brought us together. She has an amazing way of always making my days brighter.     Garbage In, Garbage Out…Life Is Work

    To get good things out of your life, you have to first put good things in. [W]e don’t have a magic hat that allows us to pull something out of nothing. The positive character traits we seek can only result from a daily commitment to prioritize actions and decisions that please the Lord. I don’t know if it’s our American culture, our sinful nature, or something else entirely, but it seems that more often than not we want everything to be easy with little work or effort required.     Another Good Day…But I’m Tired

    Ok, I’m straining to keep my eyes open here. I’m going to have to make this a quick one if I can. I got up this morning only to find I was out of grits. Yeah you heard that right grits. I’ve gotten on this grits kick. It’s pretty much like Malto-Meal [edit (11-12-05): grr, look what happens when you’re half asleep and blogging. It shouldn’t have been Malto-Meal but Cream of Wheat] which I’ve like for as long as I can remember. So I snagged a leftover roll at work when I got there this morning.     Friends At Work

    I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to once again work with one of my close friends. What’s cool is that God brought me to Michigan not only because of my wife, but He placed me in a job where I had the opportunity to build a solid relationship with my co-worker Jon Kay. Since returning to Sprint he has been a huge support to me at work. I’m blessed to work and share life with a close friend.
