Another New Year…Of Running
Got another New Year’s day run in this morning. As you can see it was a pretty cold morning. I think I’m just about ready for anything that might hit for Groundhog Day Marathon. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus

First Ice Beard Of The Winter
Despite the stormy winter weather I was able to make some decent time. Having cleats that go over my running shoes is a huge help with any sort of snow and ice I encounter. The real problem was having my running glasses getting fogged up so often from the cold wind. I enjoyed some worship music while running despite most of my focus being on the ground in front of me. I spent a little time praying for a friend’s family due to some major medical issues. A Little Speed Work, And A Lot Of God Time
While I did have to focus a little bit on the speed work part of my training run this morning, I spent a good part of that time reflecting on a lot of what God has been speaking to me about over the past week. I was challenged last night at the Daybreak missions dinner with what I am doing with my running, and my experience going to Sierra Leone. Having seen first hand what it’s like in Sierra Leone, I’m feeling challenged to evaluate how well I am using my running and my experience to make a difference. Preparing For Next Year’s Garden
Spent the afternoon building a couple of 4’x8’x18″ raised garden beds. We’ll be getting them settled and filled with soil before winter so they’ll be ready for planting in the Spring. My son helped me with getting the corner 4×4’s cut and them helping me screw together one of them and a little of the second one.
