Hoping to Get Back in The Groove…

Something that came up at our Life Shapes meeting this morning, was the subject of mission. This is something that I’ve been sort of struggling with, in that I’m trying to determine what my mission should be. I think this brings me back to the Purpose Driven Life. I have felt, for a long time, that my heart is for youth. This has been what has drawn me to my years working at Inspiration Point, and my current involvement with the Bethel youth. I’m not sure how the Missional Community of Faith and my heart for youth might be tied together. This is something that I’ll be looking for God’s direction in, as is life in general. Well, this is just s short post. Let’s hope I can get back into more regular posts.

    Well, today has been an interesting one. It started with the guys not showing up at Perkins this morning. Oh well, I understand it’s early for them. We’ll work something out on Wednesday. My day at work was pretty good. I got a lot done. I had a good chat with Ginny over IM during lunch. She knew I was going to Grease on Sunday. She got on my case about somethings, I won’t mention them here, LOL. After work I headed off to Ronnevik’s to fix their computer.     God is Awesome, of Course…Today Life is Grand Too!

    Ok, so today was a pretty excellent day. It’s amazing that God can be so good to us despite our downfalls. Well, this morning I found out something pretty crazy. One of my matches on eHarmony just happens to be someone that I at least know of. I can’t recall actually meeting her at anytime. The thing of it is that I have worked with her sister. And I know her Dad. She’s not a paying member of eHarmony but that’s just fine. We’ve already started to chat a little on MSN. I don’t know where this will lead if anywhere. I have no expectations but I’m looking forward to getting to know her. I already know enough about her that I know I’m looking…

    The Time Has Come…

    Well, for those that have long awaited a post to thie fabulous blog, here we go. This will probably be a short one. So much has been going on since my last post, actually a lot happened through December that I didn’t even get time to write about. I’m really looking forward to life settling down a bit. The first day of youth group begins tomorrow, and we had are first youth praise team meeting today, since Christmas that is. Tonight we just came up with a list of songs we want to do this winter/spring. I’ll be putting together the set lists and get them all the songs.     Moving On From A Marathon…It’s Really Not About Me

    So today is the 2nd day since completing the marathon, and unfortunately I find myself in more of a discouraged state than in celebration of my accomplishment. There are many things going through my head, many thoughts that cause me to be more disappointed with marathon Sunday. Nothing played out like I had hoped. I ended up coming in behind most of all the other marathon runners from our group despite leading the pack throughout training. I didn’t get to cross the finish line with my running partner, or my kids. I ended up walking most of the last 4.5 miles. I ended up going to the medical aid tent after crossing the finish line. I have no photo of me crossing the finish line….

  • Wow, Shortest Post Ever…

    Ok, so what a day. I wish I had the time to write all that I wanted, but off to bed I go, already late. Quick recap, woke up with a terrible cold (blah), great day at work, wonderful time at praise team practice (this is going to be a great group of youth to work with, we might even get good enough to lead on a Sunday), and well no new news from Apple. Busy day tomorrow with youth group, should be a good one! Chow All!

    What’s in Store?

    Well, I said that I was going to try and start blogging once again and I see it’s been like a month since my last post. Let’s just say life seems to be forever busy, not to say that life wasn’t busy back when I would blog up to 2 times a day, but things are busier. Now that I’m marriage and hopefully a baby on the way there is just more responsibilities. I think I’m coming to a point in my life where I’m having to really look hard at what is really most important. There are so many things I could be doing, and pretty much all good things.     Life doesnt always pan out like we want it to, but I know that God definitely gave you a passion for mission. I know how hard it can be to have to wait on God for these kinds of things, but I think you alredy know that we learn just as much if not more while waiting on God for how He wants things to work out. Live each day knowing that you woke up for a reason to glorify God… in the end you’ll realize just how much your desire to be in missions has come true.
