Seeking God’s Direction When Looking Out On The Horizon

Both my wife an I are going through a low point where neither of us feels we have clear direction on where we are headed. Specifically, where and how we are to be serving. I thought I had some clear direction but a week ago that all seemed to change. I’m finding myself questioning a lot of things right now. It’s difficult to weather the storm when things start to fall apart. One thing is clear though, that no matter where in the journey we find ourselves God is right there to walk with us through it. We’ll see what this next season brings for our family. One thing is for sure, given that both my wife and I feel like we are at the same limbo place, we both feel like God is about to reveal something just over the horizon. Good or bad, we’ll get through it.

    Is God Patient?

    (Exodus 4:10-18) Interesting question, it would seem that in this passage in Exodus, that Moses wore out God’s patience. It clearly describes that God became angery with Moses when he refused to follow what God was calling him to. This doesn’t mean that God is completely impatient, however it does go to show that He will work with us for a time and perhaps arrange something entirely different to get us moving. We are stuborn people, if God simply waited on us none of His plans would come to pass I suspect.     Switchfoot Fights DRM!

    In a story the came out earlier this week. One of the band members of Switchfoot was expressing his anger about the DRM the was put on their latest album. The DRM encoded albums were preventing people from ripping the CDs for use on portable medai players. He was posting instructions on how to circumvent the DRM. Well Sony & EMI have announced that they are recalling the CDs and replacing them. EMI says that it was a mistake. Let’s give it up for Switchfoot!

    When God Straightens Us Out, We Find Joy

    Well, I finaly made it up early today, and I had my time with God. What an incredible difference that makes. I feel like I got a lot accomplished today at work. I still have a pretty busy work day tomorrow but God has shown me the light. Tonight I was able to get yet another project completed. It looks like by next weeks end I should finally have my head above the water. I’m so thankful for the prayers and support I’ve gotten from people.
